All I can say now: Details doesn't look like in the Rocars De Simon which I've seen, e.g. fenders, these are in Berliet/Renault style - it doesn't means that it is a Berliet :p .

So this one is a Rocar or a Berliet?

Rocar - romanian bus producer, in the 90's they've started cooperating with italian body maker De Simon - their busses were (are) very similar to Berliets/Renaults, but not identical. I agree that this one looks like a Berliet PR100, number of windows, fenders etc. but I'm not sure if it is french bus.

What do you mean, that it could a Berliet built out of France?

I don't know nothing about production of Berliets in ex. "eastern block" (except those from Jelcz), but who knows, for sure it is not Jelcz. ;)
"French bus" = Berliet, I didn't want to use the same word twice. :D
Anyway, it can be an original Berliet, romanian car industry cooperated with France, so maybe they also bought some french buses. Same was here, we produced only PR100, but had quite a lot of Berliets Cruisair.

Here is a pic of Rocar De Simon... :

As you can see is very similar to Berliet and to bus from this page, but not identical, maybe it is a version which I don't know. (I've never seen any Rocar in real life ;) ).

Interesting :)
Are you sure there is no technical links between these buses and Berliet? architecture of the vehicle seems so close to the berliet...

No I'm not. :) However this typical Berliet design was copied quite often, see the Yugoslavian Ikarus-Zemun IK160 (has nothing to do with hungarian Ikarus): http://bus.ruz.net/cars/i160/160_08205.jpg

Sure the design of this Ikarus seems to be inspired by the Berliet PR100...but on the Rocar, judging the general shape of the vehicle and the wheels, I think the basis is the Berliet PR100/Renault PR100 basis... but it must confirmed ;)

Hello everyone!
OK, it's a PR100, but the bumper and the blinker make me think it's a PR100 R : http://www.transbus.org/construc/renault_pr100_r.jpg
So we could call it a Renault too... But of course I prefer the "real" original brand Berliet!

Yes it indeed can be the short lived 1984 "R" (interim version to the '85 100.2), as the type of doors is not visible at this pic.
