 Auwärter well known for NEOPLAN panoramic view busses, while this design looks 10 years older than Neoplan typ Hamburg for e.g.

I'd say Auwärter Carlux, due to the lack of VW logo on the front of the bus.

It has survived: http://dsr-vw.blogspot.de/2009/10/ernst-auwarter-kleinbus-t1.html :) In worst condition, but it was saved from this legendary junkyard in Switzerland: Link to "www.motor-klassik.de"

P.S. This junkyard was legendary in the classic car-scene, especially in CH. Also our club-members fromthere know it. But the main problem was the owner, as they said, a very very excentric bloke...

Not any more. My aquaintance Dieter (http://www.vw-teile.de/front.htm) has bought it, when the junkyard in Kaufdorf/CH was cleared off. Next week, at the http://www.siha.de/tce_uk.php I may ask him, if the restoration has already started.
