Why Midget? Not just TD?

I would also have said just TD (that's why I renamed it like that, I do not know who changed the name)

I've never heard of this series of small MG's (TC, TD, TF, etc. ) refered to by anything other then just that. The MG Midget was based on the Austin-Healey Sprite so about 10+ years newer.

Maybe it's time to add a 'last_update_user' and 'last_update_date' field... ;)

The 'Midget' name was first used for the MG M-Type in 1928. The name was kept for the follow-up series C-Type, D-Type, J1/J2, PA and PB until 1936. The T-Series was built in the tradition of these cars, but didn't use the 'Midget' name. The name reappeared in 1961 with the MG Midget Mk.I-IV.
