This is not a Ford Convertible Coupe of 1942 as shown by the small picture. 1942 Fords had horizontal oval rear taillight lenses as on the immediate postwar cars. The car here has rectangular taillight lenses.Furthermore the large picture shows that the car has parking lights on top of the front fenders. In 1942 the parking lights were moved above the grille. The large picture also excludes a 1941 Ford because the front fender midline extends to the headlight and does not curve down under the headlight as on 1941 Fords. It is not a Ford but a 1941 Mercury Convertible Club Coupe ( series 19A model 76).The Mercury shared many body parts with the Ford but had a 4 inches longer wheelbase at 118 inch.We have already a similar car on the site.
