Whilst this is undoubtedly an Avon Standard Spl,16hp it is assuredly not a 1936 model. It is a late '33 or 34 model, more likely '34 as it sports the single piece rear window. It is very very similar to my father's '33 close coupled model, but has the more deeply valanced wings than its immediate predecessor.. |

The C. F. Beauvais rear end design found on this Standard is very similar to that found on the Crossley Regises of the mid-1930s. |
