I long ago noticed that many years ago,when we were stationed there? German authorities always seemed to go by the actual calendar date of mfg,instead of the model year? (Example; our families '75 Ford LTD would've been considered a '74 by German authorites,because it was actually built in Nov,1974? USAEUR/USAFE....remember,'we' had those special US Forces plates...they went by the model year.) |

Neverending story... The technical model year where most changes are made differs from country to country, a new US made car now would have had MY2015 for a few months, while most change to 2015 around august, a practice dating back to the mid-fifties. On this site the technical model year by the factory is followed when verified. ![]() |
