According to the November 2007 issue of "Classic and Sports Car" magazine this 1905 Winton Flyer is a replica totally made by the famous customizer/artist Von Dutch. |

Not a replica as there were no winton flyers until dutch made this one up just for the movie. |

Agree, there were 1905 Wintons...but not Flyer models...and they did not look like this. A fictitious car made by Von Dutch. I pity for real Winton fans, they probably get this question all the time. I should know, I asked one myself a few years back. ![]() Still, it's a great car in a wonderful film. Good to see an old car get a starring role. -- Last edit: 2008-05-07 05:22:49 |

This thing looks about a thousand times better and more authentic than the "1920s cars" Hollywood custom-builds today. |

Hello All, This car is not a Winton car. In fact it is a modified ( headlights, raised steering wheel, and firewall, and back seat door) Flanders-Studebaker 1909 to 1913 most likely from 1910. How you can tell it's a Flanders-Studebaker is the radiator and hood, "Studebaker" give away is the height and the rear finders. -- Last edit: 2020-09-02 14:42:04 |
