Yes factory Coupe - it looks right. A long time ago Bebert and I had a slugging match about whether Herald convertibles with hardtops existed. Conclusion - despite being a very easy and logical thing to do, seems no-one ever did hardtops for Heralds. |

There were quite a few after market hardtops available for Herald convertibles, I used to own one in the 1980s . In fact you can still get them- http://www.honeybournemouldings.co.uk/hardtops.htm Car was quite fun except front wheels falling off when parking and doors flying open on bends ![]() People used to approach me in the street to give me spares and in one case a complete car ! as they were just old bangers then . -- Last edit: 2014-09-02 12:40:01 |

I had one of these in the 70s as a trials car. It was red and white and was registered 9071 RW. It cost me £20 and I won our local motor club's trials cup one year, using a big lad as a bouncer and a couple of kerb stones bolted down with angle iron in the boot. This was before I started to spend more time racing boats. The boats usually won. -- Last edit: 2014-09-02 14:30:59 |
