Interesting find in Aus - raises a few questions about assembly. Aus built various Mk2 versions (eg Ute), and my hunch is this is local design not Abbots from UK - compare eg /vehicle_363346-Ford-Zephyr-Estate-207E-1959.html for different side chrome/colour pattern and also apparently on far side a much more angular rear quarterlight. Given they were assembling in Aus, cost of importing Abbots estate from UK would put big price premium over local-build saloon, so I guess Aus may well have designed and built their own, probably without Abbots input. Any more views, particularly of rear windows to identify if shapes are different from Abbots pattern? |

Thanks - yes, solved it - it is not the UK Abbots design, but unique for Aus - see this one. -- Last edit: 2018-06-19 21:07:41 |
