That's a 1960 Lincoln, not a Mercury. Best I can tell, it doesn't have the Premier fender tag, so it's a base Lincoln. (The Capri name had been retired by then.) -- Last edit: 2014-09-28 17:04:04 |

You certainly have earned your title of commander! The screen capture caught my attention, and I looked at the photo also thinking it was an early 1960's Mercury because of the glass rear window sloping outwards rather than inwards. I was under the mistaken belief that all Lincolns and Continentals of this generation had the distinctive inward slope. And I had no idea that there was just a base "Lincoln" that year! Wow, I need to return to my American Car Spotters Guide and Langworth books!!!!! |
