Seen fleetingly in a couple of episodes, possibly because the regular Consul GT was out of action at the time, or simply because it wasn't available for filming due to other Ford commitments, though most likely to be the former, as it makes no sense that the car would be unavailable for filming unless it was so unexpectedly. This is a Granada GXL finished in Astro Silver with a black vinyl roof and is sadly not known to survive. If this is a Ford supplied vehicle,(and I don't think that it is) the registration number sequence of XAN is very unusual as this is a London (West Ham) number, rather than the more regular HK, VX, TW, WC, OO and PU combinations used by Ford press cars and is most likely to have been sourced by Euston Films directly from Kingsbury Motors, who were known to supply vehicles for Euston. -- Last edit: 2017-08-14 18:00:27 |
