That was an awesome crash in Gamer's thumb. Right front meets right front. Not easy to do.

theduggers wrote I am not sure what series had only a Monaco, but the one I watched, the Dukes of Hazzard TV series used Coronets, Monacos, Furys (both sizes), Satellites, and even a Torino or two...it used to be fun to see how many cars were used in one scene that were supposed to be the same car.

Without a little more data impossible to determine 1974-1976 Coronet, 1974-1976 Satellite, 1977-78 Monaco, or 77-78 Fury.

In the movie, however the very next scene shows the General Lee chasing a 1977-78 Monaco Police car, that goes around a corner and apparently becomes an older Polara Police car. and this is all in less than 2 minutes!

lightninboy wrote The Dodge Monaco was used more often than not over the years, so call it a 1977 Dodge Monaco.

Donovan Savage wrote This is a 1977 because it has the metal strip running against the side

Ok here is how it was..For those who didn't catch on to it they reused alot of the old TV show footage during the opening chase and crashes..The part where you see a 1970 Dodge Polara, Look close..Cooter's driving it..This is from the opening of the pilot One Armed Bandits. I also think a few of the police car crashes was old original footage from the TV show because the new ones don't have a decal below the sheriff star like they did on TV yet you see it magically come on the first crash O.o.
