Probably Brighton sea front, looks like RAC rally plates - in those days it actually went round Britain instead of hiding in a small pocket of Welsh forests like it does today. |

It is Brighton, but possibly a competitor in the Brighton Speed Trials. |

105 made 1949-50. First postwar RAC rally was 1951 - very difficult to get entry details before 1958 event (relaunched with new serious format after 57 cancelled because of Suez crisis) so I won't try - thanks for the escape route ^. Also as colour film, more likely to be 1960s, so Speed Trials seems a good explanation anyway. |

I can't prove anything, but would you use a Silverstone for the RAC? It's more of a track car, hence the name, and if you want to do a rally lasting three days or so in a Healey, use an Abbott. If you want to win, use an Austin Healey! -- Last edit: 2014-12-15 09:54:21 |
