LAPD ditched their "twin-can" style lights in 1979, which was the first year for blue lights and the Aerodynic light bar. Some of the older models remained in service with older lights or having been retrofitted with new ones. But 1985 is a bit of a stretch to have the "twin-can" lights. |

I've never seen older cars retrofitted with the Aerodynics. And with such a large department as the LAPD, there's no such thing as a "bit of a stretch" to have some vehicles around. MANY 90's cars are still in service to this day. Including some 1997 models. Almost 18 year old cars. |
