In Belgium it's more difficult to see the differences between ID and DS. New rear fenders and no rubber on rear bumper: 1960-62. But since July 1959 the DS had a black steering wheel... So this must be a ID model. With those DS-like indicator trumpets it must be a (Belgian built) IDéal 19. |

Thanks for the investigation, DynaMike. Could some other cars of this sequence be Belgium-made too? I'm thinking chiefly to the two VW —and maybe the Rekord, if Opel had a plant in Belgium. |

General Motors started a plant in Belgium in 1924, where they later constructed Opels. |
