according to wikipedia, sales in US stopped in the 30's . maybe bought in Canada and ended up in US. IMDb says movie filmed in US and Mexico. maybe that was filmed south of your border

Nothing is impossible - I have seen a 1987-1991 Pontiac Tempest and a Hyundai Stellar, the latter of which had Wyoming plates.
