Fiat or Zastava? |
◊ 2007-01-02 20:17 |
This car is the famous Fiat Seicento; i.e. the Fiat 600. In its days it was known as the 'Macchina Utilitaria' in Italy. It was one of Fiat's success stories due to its practicality and reliability for which Fiat are so renowned when it comes to small cras. |

This car, well the Seat 600 was a revolution in Spain too in its era as it was a cheap car and the first utilitary that people could affort, specially in those ages where in Spain was a dictatorship... |

I will change it again to unknown, sorry - the Fiat and Zastava were nearly identical, I need more details. ![]() |

OK then, when I can I'll send you some pics of the Fiat 600 my dad had and you'll see how each and every detail is perfectly identicla to the one in the photograph above, moreover the detailed humped design of the rear mudguards, the bumper reinforcement, and the wide vents in the 'hatchback' for the engine to keep cool all continue to confirm that its a Fiat. Moreover may I add that its one of the 1st generation Fiat 600 as it has got a black steering wheel and its doors open in the opposite way from the way doors of cars usually are. |

The problem is not finding what is common with the Fiat, but rather what is different from the Zastava, if I understood well? But isn't there more probability for a Fiat than a Zastava in Poland? |

I would say more probability for a Zastava. But I am no expert on this. And otherwise wouldn't it be a Polski Fiat? It also could be something else, like this: /vehicle_30602-ZAZ-965.html |

No, not 'Polski' and for sure not ZAZ 965, because it is completly different car, which was never imported here. Yes, that's true. Generally yes, but not in case of this model - 50:50, especially that it is an early version with door hinges on the B pillar. -- Last edit: 2007-01-03 16:42:15 |

Because seems that it's immposible to say is it a Fiat or Zastava with this pic and there is already one 750, I'll call this car Fiat. Edit! Picture has been replaced. Now badge is visible - two rows - Zastava 750 (since 1965/66 in PL). -- Last edit: 2011-01-14 13:50:26 |
