According to the IMDb, the only filming location is Toronto (and all within a half-hour of the director's house, apparantly - if that's during rush hour, that's a tiny radius)., so this is more likely a Chrysler Dynasty (why Chrysler Canada chose to sell the Dynasty and Intrepid as Chryslers, I'm not quite sure). -- Last edit: 2007-01-05 23:53:07 |

It could be because Canadian Chrysler dealerships used to sell either "Dodge-Chrysler-Dodge trucks" or "Plymouth-Chrysler-Dodge trucks". Instead of rebadging the car as a Plymouth and then differentiate it from the Dodge to sell it at Plymouth-Chrysler dealerships, they rebadged it as a Chrysler and sold it at both dealerships (with a more "prestigious" badge). Anyway, I think this model didn't fit too well with Dodge's more "dynamic" image! Strangely, the "LH" Dodge Intrepid (which was also rebadged as a Chrysler in Canada) already had it's "LH" Chrysler equivalent (the Concorde) and the Chrysler Intrepid didn't get any styling differentiation from the US Dodge this time (so it had the Dodge styling theme: the cross-shaped grille). So again, probably to please Plymouth-Chrysler dealers, they rebadged it as a Chrysler so they could have it too! And the Intrepid sold much better than the Chrysler Concorde and Eagle Vision. |
