Yep, Omni Consumer Products (OCP) owns the Detroit Police Department in this futuristic movie.

Never thought they had any surplus '86 Tauruses from the first Robocop. This was actually filmed right behind the second Robocop and was supposed to be released in the summer of 1991, but it was shelved until 1993.

This was the "meh..." Robocop movie. In Robocop 1 the cop cars have foglights, different headlights and strobe police lights.

In Robocop 2 they dont have foglights, pushbars or headlights, but the lights are still strobes

Robocop 3 was an overhaul and the lights are rotaters. This is probably because Orion Pictures went bankrupt and they had to cut down on the budget.

AND the movie was actually finished in 1991, but the bankrupsey made Orion release in 1993.

I still don't understand why they're 1988's.

Probably used surplus Tauruses from Robocop 2 since the Taurus listed there is a 1988

Dash and interior door panels of '86-'88 can be seen in police car fan's thumbs.
