Knew that Peugeot of Nigeria had assembled 404(had one on a 1980 world car annual still listed!),don't remember they build also 504,thanks for your puntualization(had a Nigerian livery Peugeot 504 taxi model miniature, but I believe were imported from France, not locally-made--model that I own had trapeze-shaped headlights like original 1968 ones for Europe) PS In Australia 504s were imported initially by Renault Australia(!),as witnessing a 1973 small-sized ads issued on locally-printed edition of"Readers'Digest"(got by a my AUS penfriend),in a comparative ads with a Valiant(the claim of ads say for the Valiant:"Looks like a $4-5000 car"and for the 504:"Drives like a $ 4-5000 car";the main slogan was"Peugeot 504.You have to drive one to really understand.") -- Last edit: 2007-01-07 13:09:07 |

The Nigerian 504 was mentionned there: /vehicle.php?id=75773 In the car configurator on their site you can still selected the 504 from the family list. |
