GT: https://www.flickr.com/photos/81821776@N06/14014314243/ Can't find the years for this trim, this one looks older by the earlier bonnet badge. |

I'm confused by this. Pretty much as Sandie says this does not look like the made-for-NL GT edition (which was not sold in UK) - see more pics here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/81821776@N06/14014314243/ - including comments. Refs to the NL GT - http://www.autoweek.nl/auto/6106/austin-metro-13-gt , Link to "www.autowereld.nl" - suggest 1990 only "Geleverd van januari 1990 tot april 1991" - I think I can guess the translation. Or Plan B - see the "surf" script on rear wing. UK Surf was slightly dressed up basic (City?) version eg https://www.flickr.com/photos/31965542@N04/12349785773/ but script was different. Dutch Surf - http://www.thegoldencrank.nl/upload/165.jpg - seems about 85-86 - 2 entries here - http://www.thegoldencrank.nl/verkoop_autos/ . Maybe they made a special NL Surf GT?? Or the owner of this black Surf went to a Dutch Halfords and bought some generic stickers??? |
