MG Magnette MkIII (or MkIV) I think, rather than Princess 3-Litre which has big vertical bumpers |

It is the MG. Too small for Princess. Other white-ish car is Vauxhall Victor 101 [FC] Blur behind lampost is Wolseley |

Just for my knowledge, but what do you mean?: the 3 Litre Princess (then Vanden Plas Princess) was same BMC/Pinin-Farina base, wasn't it? ... so why "to small"? |

The Princess used Austin Westminster/Wolseley 6/99 (later 6/110) base, a much larger Farina bodyshell. The Wolseley was built alongside the VdP at Kingsbury. This is the MG as it has the longer bonnet (hood) nose, so the grille is raked forward. This looks like the wider-track MKIV. The Princess/Westminster (etc) body has a taller-proportioned glass area, and the grille is upright. VdP Princess 3L: length 15ft 8in - width 5ft 8.5in - height 4ft 11in Magnette MKIV: length 14ft 10in - width 5ft 3.5in - height 4ft 11.75in |

Thank's Bent8rover, that is something I had never realized yet , and I understand why I've always found Austin Westminster/Wolseley 6/99,6/110 proportions more nice than the other BMC Pininfarina part of range |

the trouble is, today if you have one of those cars you have to keep it safe. they are stolen for racing |
