rare US-spec model missing all mandatory components to get a german registration. No orange indicators at side, back and no cat eyes at the rear. In Berlin we have one guy at TÜV who gives excepetions for american cars. If you ask him, you can even get an american police car with lights and sirens registered(forbidden in germany - has to be covered or demounted). That would still be an US-Spec car but are you sure? Dont be confused by the side panels. As you said the car looks like patchwork. But the missing door panel could also mean its a scrap car stripped down to be used as spare-parts "warehouse". Edit: I think that this prop car was also used in "Die Straßen von Berlin" (/vehicle.php?id=789294#Comment1742472). As you can see the grille was damaged there so that could explain why it has a Plymouth grille in HeliCops. Yep. The rear doors seen in the second thumbnail and the white spot from the removed badge in the third thumbnail makes this a 1987-1990 Dodge Mini-Ram Van. US spec as well, as these were sold nowhere else but the US and Canada. Rare as well. |
