1973 Firenza or 1974-75 Magnum coupé ? |

My guess is 74 Magnum 1800 as no grille badge for 2300 - has all the stuff I'd expect for Magnum - Rostyles, full grille black, vinyl roof, coachlines - and looks like headrests |

Thank you dsl. Did the 2nd year Firenza had the same grille ? |

It's the same grille pressing - the difference is whether it has black paint and how much. I think the sequence was 1] Original 71 Firenza 2000 SL - https://www.flickr.com/photos/ryanbus/7773272192/ without black, 2] March 72 Firenza 2300 SL - http://www.motorstown.com/images/vauxhall-firenza-2300-05.jpg with black backwash, 3] Sept 73 onwards Magnum 1800 and 2300 full black as main. Plus there were various lesser Firenza and Viva coupes with small engines and ordinary Viva rectangiular headlight grilles. |

World Car Catalogue editions say Swiss assembly was: 1967 - Victor 1969 - Victor 1971 - Viva, Victor I don't have 72/73/74 volumes, and no mention for CH in 75 and later editions. So 74+ Magnum may be a year or two too late?? But ID as made-for-CH as a marker in case new info arrives in future. |
