I suppose this is a 1952 Minerva Land-Rover 80'' Series I. |

Do you think it's not a Minerva because the front fenders? So, a Land-Rover then. |

I think this is a Belgian-built S1. Some late Minerva 86" had this rounded wing with double stack lights, but my book photo of a Gendarmerie version has the unique Minerva grille (upright pillar without sidebars), and this grille looks normal S1 upside-down T. After Minerva finished in June 56, Beherman-Demoen started assembling S1 88" petrols in Brussels from Apr 57, then S2 and S2a petrols and diesels in 88" and S2a 109". B-D end date unknown, but presumed stopped before S3; no numbers known, no mention of any difference from normal UK format or any pictures in the book. However film date excludes any B-D, so a very late Minerva 86" with (unexpected) L-R grille. |
