SBA (set-back front axle) "long nose"? If so, said to be a 1989-93 model in tractors.wikia (I don't know how reliable can be this source). What is a set-back front axle? Just a technical way to say 6x4? And what are the differences between the model years (1989 to 1999?) of the 9300? -- Last edit: 2015-03-24 08:28:08 |

Thanks to that first brighter pic from galloper, back that year range to 1989-1998. The main pic looked like it had the mid-rise sleeper that started in 1995. |

Set back front axle is exactly what it implies - the front axle is set back towards the center of the truck (the Freightliner FLD120 is a perfect example of a SBFA set up, versus other trucks like the Peterbilt 379 and W900 where the axle is set forward). The main changes the 9300 faced over the 11 years they were in production was a dash change in 1995 and a mid-rise sleeper option (instead of just a flattop sleeper) also in 1995. It was succeeded by the 9900. -- Last edit: 2015-04-06 19:46:14 |
