Dialog about this car, from 1:08:00 onwards: - Who's car is it? - That's ours. It's not for sell. - Come on, how much? - (I don't understand the beginning) That's not just a car... That's a Ford Galaxie! - Oh! That's an endangered species? - As a matter of fact, it is! No matter, money can't change my mind. - I give you $500 for it. - Sold! ![]() _____ (Assuming this site is doing a good job, $500 in 1981 mean $1,360 in 2015) -- Last edit: 2015-03-25 22:50:46 |

These events took place in 1971 year, so, $500 in 1971 mean $2,950 in 2015 ![]() |

@ no-a: My mistake, I just focused on the release date of the movie (I just checked some details, I didn't watch the whole movie) ![]() This mean that this Galaxie is just 6 years old??? I thought that only some European car makers had rust as factory option ![]() (And that mean a time travel for the 1973+ Pinto and the 1972 Ford Econoline -already noted by Ddey65) -- Last edit: 2015-03-26 02:55:20 |

It has the taillights of a Custom or a Custom 500? (And it looks as if they've "Uglied up" this car a bit?) -- Last edit: 2015-03-28 18:51:21 |

I just watched the end of this movie and at least two cars were used. The main car is a 1965 Custom 500. There are interior shots that show the Custom door panel. It looks like it has the 500 C-pillar logo. As the plane starts to bang into the car, a 1966 model is used, as seen in the last 4 thumbnails. |
