So the 1997s came out in 1996. Good to know! (How do you decipher the VIN from just one pic anyway?) |

First look up the plate (OCA882) - which gives you the VIN. Then I go to Ford VIN decoder here: http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleSelection.do I was considering listing the CR-V but the Mondeo is rarer in Australia - only 17,000 first generation Mondeos were sold in Australia, compared with approx. 45,000 second generation CR-Vs. Interestingly, of those 17,000 Mondeos, only about 1,200 remain on the roads as of 2019 (or 7%). In Australia, the sedan was by far the most popular variant, accounting for 75% of sales. A wagon was only offered from 1995-1998 in HB/HC series, there were no HD/HE wagons. Wagons typically accounted for about 7% of Mondeo sales (only a few hundred per year), making them very rare. -- Last edit: 2020-03-05 13:00:41 |
