 still not sure, tailights are almost identical to the 1987-1991 one ( 1992 : Link to "www.f150forum.com" and 1987 : Link to "hooniverse.com" ) and too dark for me to tell them apart. tailgate would also help us but since its down..... any Ford pick up experts here ?

 there is a line on the right of the hood that goes to the headlights that makes it look like Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" ( http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5c/1992-96_Ford_F-150.jpg seems to be less pronounced ?) but it could also be shadow, illusion created by dirt in windshield...
je sais que ce que j'ai écrit en anglais n'est pas tres clair, ce que je voulais dire c'est que la denivellation du capot vers les phares ressemble a celle du 87, plus prononcée que celle du 92...j'ai completement bloqué en cherchant la traduction anglaise ( et sans chercher a travers tous les sites de traduction ). mais c'est peut-etre juste une illusion optique...
i think your idea of making it "1987+ then, until more data are available" is the best one for now
