This is described as Marseilles, and I'm guessing is the start of the 1952 Rallye des Alpes/Alpine Rally but I can't trace rally numbers Rootes entered lots of ST 90 Mk2s, 3 of which finished in positions, won Coupes Des Alpes, and the Manufacturer Team Prize: 8th George Murray Frame/John Pearman Sunbeam-Talbot 90 (won 3000cc class) 9th Mike Hawthorn/'Chippy' Chipperton Sunbeam-Talbot 90 10th Stirling Moss/John Cutts Sunbeam-Talbot 90 (I've got a book photo which shows this one as #316) plus several more S-T 90s took part. Unless anyone spots anything better, this page will go to S-T 90. |

I'd gladly swap all the Sunbeam-Talbots for the Lancia Aurelia Coupe, thanks |

Nope - an Aurelia does not trump the S-T 90s. |

Current values and the specifications of the two cars suggest otherwise. |

The dark roadster #332 in the background looks like a Healey Silverstone. Pretty rare... maybe worth a page of its own? |
