1960-66 armored GMC medium-duty C-Series, i.e. a 2-ton 3500 or a 2½-ton 4000 model. 1960-65 GMC round grille lettering and 1962-66 hood make it a 1962-65 model. Sold as chassis + cowl, so a Truck, Chassis cab would be the closest class if this one existed ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-05-20 22:56:39 |

It looks like it says "660" in thumbnails 3 and 10. |

I'll search a bit, but it must be related to the engine. The model names were 4-digit ones: ![]() (1965 brochure cover) -- Last edit: 2015-05-21 02:52:27 |

No 650 nor 660 ci amongst the GMC engines, neither in gasoline powered motors (the 2 biggest ones were the 637 ci/10.44 L V8 and the 702 ci/11.50 L "Twin Six" V12) nor in Diesel ones (637 ci). Let's hope it's part of someone's field of knowledge, so we'll understand what this 660 means ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-05-21 17:31:41 |
