It's a brazilian made Mercedes-Benz. Looks a 914C -> http://vehiculo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-553496011-mercedes-benz-914c-unico-dueno-_JM |

It seems to have a lot of possible names: 712C / 1318 / 1420 / 1720 / 1728 / 2423 / 2726. Is there a generic name for it? |

Why generic? it's a light truck. So, 712 it's correct. The rest names are for bigger trucks |

You said another name, first. So if unsure of it, the generic name is better. |

What? never. See the pic, and looks similar to the picture, because it's a light truck and it's a Mercedes-Benz: had few differences, like the engine and the weights (the first number of the model it's the weight and the second it's for the horsepower of the engine)... i'm totally sure, because you don't know anything about this truck. Didn't exists any generic name, ok? -- Last edit: 2015-05-24 02:53:20 |

You said 914C just above, hence why Elmer asked that... stop being aggressive with others (who are not aggressive with you, and are just trying to understand) or you'll be banned again... -- Last edit: 2015-05-24 20:08:30 |

Indeed a smaller truck. As mentioned above, the two last digits are rated power output divided by ten. So a 170 HP engine would end on 17. The first digit (or first two) are the gross weight in tonnes. So, a 7xx/8xx would seem plausible. |

"Looks a 914C", I never affirmed this. And i'm not agressive, i don't know why say this about the ban. Maybe never understand or not read the comment, just this |

712 C or 914 C, model 1215 C and "bigger" ones had already different fenders. The cab is after 1998 modifications. It was taken from European LN2 / LK (in 1988 LK replaced LN2), but except the cabs, German LK and this Brazilian vehicle not necessary were related. -- Last edit: 2016-08-12 20:19:53 |
