@ Sandie: Where did you get these precise informations? xxx RP 33 was indeed given in early 2004, but remember that with the 1950-2009 registration system, it could be a re-registration of a 1998-2003 van coming from another department. The FNI has never been as accurate as the DVLA... |

This site is the one that gives the info for French plates: http://www.moteur-occasion.com/formulaire.php I don't think we've had many inconsistencies with that site so far (even with the older plates and older cars on the new system) so I think it 'knows' the date of the original car in most cases. cf: /vehicle.php?id=913536 (listed as 1974 but with a plate that was issued, if I'm reading your link correctly, in 2004). However, I will change this one back to 1998 as the 2004 date does seem like an inconsistency. |

As I explained in the forum some months ago, the only allowed information that can be displayed about a plate number is the date on which it was given. This makes any other detail more or less illegal, so I wonder at first if we should promote this kind of site (the fine is € 300,000...), and secondly if this info is as trustworthy as we should expect (I personally question the competence of a company who apparently don't know what it is really doing). |
