Looks like a truck based on a 1955-59 GMC Blue Chip / Chevrolet Task-Force chassis + cowl model (kind of chassis-cab, but without the windshield), with the 1958-59 fender molding and the light-duty (½-ton to 1-ton) bumper. The wheel rims are those of a "heavy light-duty" 1-ton truck, and this picture, showing what seems to be the same vehicle, features a GMC grille with the oval park lamps and the 1959 only "bullet free" bumper. The GMC factory code depends on the wheelbase length (251 for the 114"/2.90 m wheelbase, 252 for the 123¼"/3.13 m one and 253 for the 135"/3.43 m one) and on the engine (with or without -8, depending on the V8 or 6-cylinder engine), so it's certainly "safer" to leave it blank ![]() ⇒ 1959 GMC Blue Chip 250? -- Last edit: 2015-06-01 22:00:10 |

I found this particular vehicle on the NYC based Picture Car site listing this one as a 1958 Model. http://carsforfilms.net/car-classifieds/1958-moving-truck-blocking-truck/ |
