they flipped the 9-7X, also probably on fire. many cars got their halves pixelated or got entirely turned to blocks in the film (2011 Ford Explorer, red suv which is probably a 2014 Jeep Cherokee (refer to the ford explorer page), Toyota Prius II,2002 Jaguar S-Type, New York Ford Escape taxi, BMW 740il, white suv with spare wheel on its rear, 2007 Acura RDX, another Ford Explorer and probably a 90s sedan (seen in one of the pacman clips on youtube)) lucky they haven't destroyed a 2013 Dodge Challenger and a Mercedes Benz SUV.

Lucky? You should be more concerned about the Saab. The Challenger and GL/ML are completely worthless compared to the 9-7x; countless Challengers and MLs compared to 19,286 Saab 9-7x...

SAAB is premium and why do aliens have to flip them and a day later, they blow up. blame the aliens.

i am also concerned about premium cars like SAABs and Audis be destroyed except BMWs.

They should likely let a BMW take the role of the SAAB or a Ford Windstar to replace the role of that SAAB.

A Windstar would be fine with me.

estimated property damage in Washington D.C. in this film: around more than 14 billion.Reason: SAAB 9-7x is expensive probably even more expensive than a ML 350 and they have to flip it and burn it. the roof and hood will be severley be damaged. They even had a 2002 Jaguar S-Type cut in half and it costs 2,000 dollars to 9,000 dollars.

The price of the 9-7x is strikingly 40,000 us dollars. I don't get why in most films, over 40,000 dollar cars sometimes get damage or destroyed.

I doubt they are still at that price for a car that is between 6 and 10 years old :p
Since Saab went bankrupt I suppose that the value of the Saabs that were just second hand car (not yet old collectibles) dropped, as people are afraid to buy it to later have problems with serving and parts.

The S-Type is just a cheap clunker (to use Ingo's common comment)

I agree about the S-Type being cheap but SAAB 9-7X were sometimes recalled for certain problems with the car. Here are some:

● Hdm can overheat and can disables the headlights thus causing less visibility of the road and oncoming vehicles.
● Window and door locks can allow moisture in causing corrosion
● Door locks cannot work as it may corrode and cause a short circuit. Over 12,000 units were recalled
● Roads being melted by salt may cause fluids to enter the car door and disable the locks. Over 12,000 units were recalled

No, not any more. It still has a value for a car in this age, it's also a rarity, but the value is far away from 40.000 $, see

Much more annyoing to destroy actual cars, is to destroy classics. This is pure asshole-ish shithead-behaviour. Of both, the makers also the viewers, who like that. Example: /vehicle_239336-Mercedes-Benz-280-SE-Convertible-W111-1969.html

well, save a 1969 280 SE and scrap a 9-7X instead would be good for me too. Fire looks CGI so it is probably origin : computer instead of origin : USA

Saab 9-7X was just the result of GM putting vehicles in the " photocopy machine " with Chevy, GMC, Oldsmobile and Buick having one ( almost asking to myself why Pontiac didn't had one...one more or one less... ) ;)

this Saab is a 2006-2009

oh yeah, forgot, Isuzu joined that party too with the Ascender ( not sold here, that's why i forgot at first )

But i must admit that the 9-7X is the best looking one and they could use a Trailblazer/Envoy to do the job in case its a real one

What i mean is during the time when the SAAB 9-7x was released before being discontinued. Lucky it is either cgi or a real one was seen in behind the scenes footages uploaded on youtube. Maybe they should replace the 9-7x with a generic sedan like a Crown Victoria or a Chevrolet Cruze rather than a premium suv costing over 40,000 usd when it was released. I've got a good example in Transformers Dark of The Moon, a 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 got blown up by these decepticons. A similar 9-7x only black and not flipped was destroyed in the same movie.

Baube: styling of the Ascender was closest to the Envoy. I also worked at an Isuzu dealership when the Ascender was sold, and saw the death of Isuzu in America. At least the SUVs and pickups.
