Looks like the 2nd MG TD at Cotswold Museum - a 1954 example 5399 DG - Link to "www.flickr.com" , http://www.alantaylor.me.uk/images/cmm02.jpg 5399 DG = GREEN 1954 MG TD/TF SPORTS. Also Link to "www.motorbase.com" . But other sources say this was 1950 car and TD ended 1953, so may be a funny one. I think it's same car as this - /vehicle_826453.html - so merge?? Cotswold Museum had other 50s MGs including a green YA saloon, but nothing like that picture. |

Not a TF from what can be seen in the picture, those are TD parts, or Y parts. It might be a YT, but it doesn't show up very well. -- Last edit: 2015-07-08 19:55:42 |

Main has 5399 DG plate, so should be same car as my linked pics - and those do look slightly odd for TD. But YT could fit better eg http://onlytruecars.com/data_images/gallery/01/mg-yt/mg-yt-11.jpg , https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/ca/MGYtourers.JPG - higher bodyline at rear. Which presumably means the Museum never identified the car properly, and no-one else realised. |

Definitely not an MG Y or YT - the front wing on an MG Y were flat at the bottom and extended down to the bumper line on all models - MG Y, Y/T and YB. See www.mgytypes.org for more information on the MG Y Type and extensive photos. |

OK - entered as 1950 TD as best we can do from conflicting info. |
