Didier, such a sad unfolding of events in our beloved city; I hope that you are well. La belle équipe ... it is actually the name of a movie by Julien Duvivier from 1936, with Jean Gabin and Viviane Romance. I am more familiar with his later work, but I have seen this one. One vehicle, would you like to add it on imcdb? It's 30's after all ... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0027342/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKh-1GJNXjY |

La belle équipe was not on IMCDb? Then it will be… through you, 50sParis, naturally. No but seriously, I'm not the present and future owner of anything made in France in the 30s on behalf of IMCDb, tout de même! It happens that I, well, watch or more precisely find then watch many of those movies for IMCDb, that is all. Besides, your capture is very nice. A Citroën, maybe? Based on a C6, I suppose? Anyway… Did you know that this movie had two endings? The original one was the over-tragic, with death everywhere. The second one, finally released, was allegedly wanted by the attendances (i.e. by the idea the producers had of what attendances wanted): a happy ending, where Viviane Romance is righteously abandoned, this no-good bitch. (Besides, I think it's her first important lead female part.) After you upload this one, I promise to try to find a French of the 60s, with a vengeance! PS: by the way, I'm well. I'm living just between the Bataclan and the rue de Charonne, see? They missed me, the bastards. -- Last edit: 2015-11-15 10:13:49 |
