Hood side emblem of a 1967-72 medium-duty F-Serie, maybe with a slightly offset model years range due to the Brazilian manufacturing. Medium-duty means any model from F-500 to F-750, so it's certainly better to keep it as generic F-Series. It doesn't have the US 1968+ side markers, but were they used in Brazil? |

Brazil doesn't uses sidemarker ruling there. They get what they have. Whatever bob dieck has in his point of view has his model year range |

I would not identify South American vehicles using the conventions of original US/EU models, it has lead to mistakes on IMCDB in the past. Quite often, older designs went on to have long production runs there. -- Last edit: 2015-08-11 02:10:13 |

I'm not sure of what you mean with this, but I'm sure that bob dieck confuses with another truck line: here is the 1972 Ford Brazil F-Series brochure, with this cab, and with F-500 to F-750 models mentioned. Here the 1973 one. That's why I talked about a possible "slightly offset" model year range After some quick researches, the Brazilian F-Series was clearly different in 1969, and as said above, I found at least a 1972 brochure with this cab and with the hood end logo. It seems to have had a name change in 1975 or 1976 (3-digit to 4-digit names. The linked brochure has a handwritten 1975 on the las page, but it could be August to December...), but the hood side logo disappeared in 1981 or 1982 only (here a 1980 brochure, here a 1982 one). And the cab was still used in 1990. Curious people will have to search by themselves for the rest of the production years, if any For the record, all these brochures are from a serious seller that I usually trust for the model years that are given. So a 1972+ model? -- Last edit: 2015-08-11 03:37:49 |
