Late-1970's Chevy CUCV. |

If Wikipedia is not completely off the mark about this, GM CUCV models were made from 1984 to 1987. So this truck, with what seems to be a Chevrolet 1979 grille (or at least a 1977-79 one) can't be a genuine CUCV. ⇒ 1979 Chevrolet K-Series Fleetside? For the record, it appears that CUCVs were not Chevrolet trucks but GM Defense ones. Should we do a mass renaming? -- Last edit: 2015-08-17 04:03:00 |

^Wrong as usual Wikipedia; GSA lists them as Chevrolets: http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/aucdsclnk?sl=31QSCI11205039 |

Maybe not that wrong this time if you follow the link to the GM Defense part search page in my previous comment. I found it thanks to the GM website itself... Which one should we trust more? The GM site or a kind of classified ad that could have been written by a paper-pusher who knows nothing to trucks? -- Last edit: 2015-08-17 05:09:21 |

It does not matter how some website decides to sell the parts eLMeR. The Government Services Administration; the organization that actually purchased the vehicles calls them Chevrolets, in other words the United States Federal Government says they bought Chevrolets. The example I found and others all have VINs making them Chevrolets. This is not a difference of opinion: legally, they are Chevrolets. |

The Chevrolet CUCVs even have bowties on their grilles - Link to "militarymashup.com" But, since this one clearly predates GM's contract to produce CUCVs, it's just a civilian Chevrolet pickup painted in olive drab camouflage. |

This looks like a Canadian model, actually. /vehicle_501687-Chevrolet-Five-Quad-1976.html -- Last edit: 2015-08-17 22:49:20 |
