From what is visible, 1943 (Number plate moved in on a new engine cover, wiper cable omitted, new door handle but not the 1944 plain front number plate area, split but oval rear window or headlamps with external wiring, the front area being the one thing not changeable. Dash is too dark to see.) So let's say the tail lights, front indicators, rear view mirror are to make it street legal, number plate not included, while the exhaust should exit above the officer's shoulder instead of low as visible on the left hand side. |

The taillights are a Bosch- and/or Hella-Standard product, produced continuously since 50 years still today, mainly for all kind of trailers. The mirror -goof, because chromated- is also a standard-part for motorbikes and bicycles. A propos goof: none of the vehicles in this movie has the mandatory covered lights @rjluna2 ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-08-24 22:40:21 |

Since 1943 there had to be also used these two, instead of one, clips to keep the folded down windshield - source. And this way it was in earlier cars: http://ww2vw.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/image001-2.jpg one clips placed directly above the spare wheel. -- Last edit: 2017-02-21 20:31:30 |
