2004+ Freightliner M2 106 chassis https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Built_Buses Someone removed the Thomas Built Saf-T-Liner on a Freightliner chassis -- Last edit: 2015-08-25 17:23:54 |

Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 is its accurate and whole name. Made from 2004 onwards. The make is indeed Thomas Build Buses, but apparently only the shortened version is used to promote the products: (2000 Thomas Saf-T-Liner brochure cover. Click...) Based on the Freightliner C2 bus chassis, made itself on a Business Class M2 basis. But I'm not sure (for once ) that the chassis maker has to appear here, as Thomas Built Buses Inc. is now a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America, i.e. a sister-company of Freightliner, and the only one to use the C2 chassis... -- Last edit: 2015-08-25 04:02:50 |

Fixed it so it matches the other Saf-T-Liner C2s on the site. |

@ eLMeR.. FYI It is Thomas Built not Build... Also FYI, both Freightliner and Thomas are owned by Mercedes Benz... -- Last edit: 2015-08-25 06:35:07 |

Not me, but it wasn't exactly what you wrote in that comment... It was more... phonetically written Just take the time to re-read carefully my last sentence in the comment just above -- Last edit: 2015-08-25 21:18:14 |

@ carcrasher: I'm not sure that the Freightliner Chassis complement is relevant, here, as the concerned chassis is the Freightliner C2, already present in the name of the bus, and as the Saf-T-Liner C2 is in fact the only bus to use this chassis / it's the only chassis used by this bus. About the make, see the brochure cover. As long as we don't use, for example, GMC Trucks but "GMC only", we should certainly also use the shortened version for Thomas, as the make does itself? Anyway, thanks for having modified all similar buses. -- Last edit: 2015-08-25 21:20:58 |
