electra225 ◊ 2015-09-08 17:04	It was a change of name because Mercedes-Benz had a right on the SL trade name. Therefore Fiat had to change it after a year. The 128 coupé SL became the 128 Sport L coupé and the the 128 S coupé became the 128 Sport xcoupé. It is funny to point out that Fiat did the very same mistake in 1985 when it renamed the Uno SX as the Uno SL but this time it was condamned to pay if I remember well. In 1989 the SL had gone.
