Rare 3-door Pontiac LeMans. Maybe it should have its own page. |

It would be nice to have another view of the Cadillac then... |

Do you have another complete view of the front or side of the car? (or another view of the LeMans) -- Last edit: 2007-02-04 15:14:35 |

You can tell from the two smaller imaages that it's NOT an Eldorado (it does not have the broad, stainless steel molding that runs from the vent window all the way down the side of the car, just below the fin, up to the rear bumper), so it has to be the regular "Series 62" convertible (100% sure). |

not rare in the US at all, ( I see at least one of these a day I think) |

Buick began to import, sell and service the Opel Kadett in the US in the 1960's so its not strange that one might be seen. |

he is refering to the Daewoo- based Pontiac Lemans in this pic (it was sold as the Opel Kadett in some markets) |
◊ 2007-02-04 18:38 |
I think landrover1 was referring to the Pontiac LeMans, which is a rebadged Daewoo LeMans, which is in turn a version of the Opel Kadett E (1984-1992): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_Kadett#Kadett_E -- Last edit: 2007-02-04 18:38:19 |

The Pontiac is a rebadged Daewoo, but the Daewoo is not exactly an rebadged Opel Kadett, it is just based on it I think. |

This Lemans was also sold in Canada as the Passport Optima, Asuna SE/GT and Pontiac LeMans, badge engineering at its finest..leave it to GM lol |

Indeed the Vauxhall/Open was the original version, but the Pontiac/Passport was just a rebadged version of the Daewoo derivated from the Vauxhall/Opel, but these Korean-made were not exactly the same car. -- Last edit: 2010-02-14 22:19:57 |

You didn't know that one? In Belgium it was known as Daewoo Nexia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daewoo_Nexia |
◊ 2012-10-04 00:59 |
IN the UK as the Vauxhall Astra in 2 door hatchback and estate (wagon), and Astra Belmont as a saloon (4 door sedan). Now, back to the Cadillac... |

Curiously, this one doesn't have is own page despite a full profile view ![]() |
