How do we know it's a 528e? |

From this picture there is no "official" way to tell if it's a 528e. If I could see the tire tread more, I could tell whether it had the infamous metric Michelin TRX Tires, which came standard on the 533i and 535i/is. It appears as though this E28 has the earlier air-dam, more subtle-looking. This means it's a `82-`84. Since almost every US E28 was a 528e, especailly early E28's, I'd say there is a 90% chance this is indeed, a 528e. |

This looks to be a 1985 or 1986 model year E28, because of the head rests and has an early front valence. Look through the windshield to the back speaker shelf and you can see the third brake light housing. |
