1949-55 Fiat 500 C 'Trasformabile' or its German clone NSU-Fiat 500 C 'Cabrio-Limousine' (1951-55). Is there a way to identify a make over the other? |

Said to be a Topolino (without mentioning the make) by the character after he has read the poster (00:31:05). I'm not sure this nickname was given to the German model... -- Last edit: 2015-10-15 05:13:18 |

I' mot sure that these brochures can be used as clues, all the more if they are the only ones you found for a comparison. If you look a bit at these two "different" pictures, you'll notice that they're almost the same: same girls, same background, same text and just different logos and a small drawing/paint job as it was done at that time to "improve" the pictures ![]() Here you can see a NSU-Fiat with 3 chrome bars, for example... Anyway, I don't know if the genuine grille of a NSU-Fiat was that way, nor how the one of "our" car was when it was sold. But we shouldn't forget that this car was about 55 years old when the episode was released, which means that its trim and equipment may have been changed. So I think we have no other choice but to rely on what the character says to identify the make. -- Last edit: 2015-10-15 16:18:40 |
