@dsl: Why do you think this is a Deluxe? All the Deluxe versions I know of have two chrome bars on the rear stem for easy identification, and possibly also chrome around the rear lights. Apart from that they had cigarette lighter, twin horn, different horn ring, slightly better upholstery and usually painted in a slightly different colour on the roof, but could also be ordered in single clour paint http://www.simoncars.co.uk/ford/slides/Ford%20Consul%201957%20rear.jpg . Apart from the paint I cannot see any of that on the car above. |

Because it seems to have a fair bit of chrome eg around windows. But - as your comment - switching to normal with 57+ grooves on rear panel. |
