1947-50 Advance Design.....From this angle hard to tell if it has vent windows... |

From the 1947-55 Advance-Design truck line indeed. From this view point, impossible to see if it is a ½-ton model (1947-48 Thriftmaster / 1949+ 3100), a ¾-ton one (1947-48 Thriftmaster / 1949+ 3600) or an -unlikely here, I think- 1-ton one (1947-48 Thriftmaster / 1949+ 3800). 1947-53, then, due to the only 2 remaining clues: the grille and the 2-piece windshield. ⇒ 1947 Chevrolet Advance-Design -- Last edit: 2015-11-05 03:05:29 |

![]() ![]() ![]() (0:00:36 // 0:00:40 // 0:00:48) 1947-50 single-piece door window & 1949+ fuel filer cap (behind the cab): a 1949-50 model. A model newer than 1951 would in fact have been anachronistic as the action is supposed to take place in 1951... I don't see any vertical reinforcement bar in front of the rear wheel arch, meaning therefore that it is the 116"/2.95 m wheelbase of a ½-ton 3100 (as pickup: 3104 model code). |
