1998 ML320 due to 16" wheels and black trim (mirrors/bumpers). ML430 had larger 7-spoke 17" alloy wheels and colour-coded bumpers, mirrors, and side trim. From Edmund's review in 1999 (http://www.edmunds.com/mercedes-benz/m-class/1999/road-test/ ): "The ML430 is equipped with every goodie you'd find standard on the 320, as well as leather and power seats, body-colored bumpers, rocker panels and side moldings, and 17-inch alloy wheels with large 275/55R-17 M+S rated tires." As such, if we see a ML on this site with grey bumpers and 16" wheels, then there is no possibility of it being a ML430. It can be either a ML320 or ML230/ML270 CDI (for Europe only). Update: in addition, we know this is a 1998 model and not a 1999, due to the location of the front side indicator/repeater. On 1998 models it was further forward on the fender, in 1999 it was moved back very close to the front door. -- Last edit: 2019-03-08 09:11:28 |
