At least a 1973+ T2b, with these blinkers just under the windshield. With the 1977+ headrests, or are these ones an aftermarket addition? But in both cases, what about the 1973+ black wipers? If genuine, the white roof was apparently only used for the Micro Bus Deluxe version. At least in 1970, and certainly in 1971 too. Does anyone have more recent information about it? |

It is indeed a 1973+. The highback seats were mainly a U.S. (and Canada) feature, often misused also for dating the Beetles of that era. For the roof, they changed to waistline color split or MY1971. Your 1971 link is in fact a 1970 (short mirror stem, but old wheels) so I'm afraid it would be a repainted 1973+ Micro Bus of some kind. Edit: Locally assembled CKDs until 1976, fully imported 1977 on. -- Last edit: 2015-11-11 02:01:53 |

Btw, models with white roof (that is, not the window area) would probably have body color rain gutters. |
