I was undecided for Cooper/Lotus/other possibilities, but I think you've nailed it. |

...... ex-Ecurie Ecosse, driven variously by Jackie Stewart, Jack Brabham, Roy Salvadori, Tommy Dickson, Bruce Halford, Jimmy Blumer etc in UK and US. Supposedly registered DS 228 - a Peebles series (so local for Ecurie Ecosse) which started in 1903 and expired in 1964, but not listed on check sites now. |

Wow! I guess I'll have to see the movie. I owned that car from 1970 to 2001 and restored it to its current condition. It was a great car to race and I even had it registered in the U.S. to drive on public roads. dsl, It was actually THE car in which Ken Tyrrell discovered Jackie Stewart at Goodwood and signed him to drive for the Tyrrell team. The rest is history. Any idea where and when that shot was filmed? It was last sold in Dec 2013. It went from a British owner to a German owner at that time? http://www.thevrl.com/profiles/blogs/1960-ecurie-ecosse-copper-type ![]() ![]() After doing a little research, it appears that the shot was filmed at Goodwood. -- Last edit: 2016-02-04 19:13:41 |
